PROMISING WOMEN will process and collect the data obtained in interviews, surveys and other techniques in order to develop studies, analyses and measures aimed at the development and advancement of professional women, as well as management and consulting services related to these activities.
In the case of interviews, surveys and other techniques where appropriate, the data provided will not be used individually and in case this happens, a complete anonymity of the same will be ensured, as well as no specific information that allows the subject to be identified. If PROMISING WOMEN wishes to publish personal data of any person interviewed or surveyed, this will be duly and clearly informed in advance and PROMISING WOMEN must have in writing and explicitly with the authorization of said person before publication.

4. WHAT SECURITY MEASURES DO WE APPLY?

Once the payment has been made, no refunds will be accepted, unless the event was canceled by PROMISING WOMEN, for any reason, in which case the payment would be returned in full to the participants. PROMISING WOMEN reserves the right to cancel the event in advance, without the need to justify cause, without this granting the right to participants to any type of compensation, once the money of their registration has been returned.

En los años 80, las orquestas de música más importantes de los Estados Unidos se cansaron de ver que en las audiciones, con demasiada frecuencia, se contrataba a los músicos que habían sido pupilos de los directores de orquesta, dando muy poca oportunidad al resto de aspirantes. Así que empezaron a rescatar una práctica que ya había adoptado la Boston Symphony Orchestra casi veinte años atrás. Simplemente pusieron una cortina negra delante del candidato, de tal forma que no se podía saber quién estaba tocando. Lo interesante de esta medida es que produjo un efecto secundario inesperado: que el porcentaje de mujeres que pasaban a la ronda final de selección creciera significativamente, entre un 30% y un 50%, solo por esta cortina. De hecho, en parte gracias a la instauración de esta medida, el porcentaje de mujeres músicas en estas orquestas ha pasado de un 5% en los años 70 a cerca de un 40% en la actualidad.
